Crown Hotel & Travel Management Adds Internal Accounting Department to Meet Exponential Growth

Wilmington, NC: With Crown Hotel & Travel Management’s exponential growth, a new inhouse accounting department has been added. Corporate Controller Josh Emett, who joined the company in late 2019 implemented a detailed transition plan to expand Crown’s internal resources to coincide with the company’s growth. Through Josh’s leadership, Crown has now incorporated a full inhouse accounting team, with the additions of Justin Cribb: Senior Accountant; Amy Maynard: Accountant and Valarie Waller: Payroll Specialist.

We are in a better position than ever to serve our guests as well as our leadership teams” Stated Emett.

Josh Emett Corporate Controller- Has over 12 years of accounting and business consulting experience. Before joining Crown, Emett was the principal of his own CPA firm in Utah which he sold in 2018 when he relocated to Wilmington. Josh holds a Master of Accountancy degree from Southern Utah University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Dixie State University.

Justin Cribb Senior Accountant- Has over 10 years of Public Accounting experience. Justin holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration and a Master’s of Science in Accounting from East Carolina University. Originally from Morven, NC but has lived in Eastern NC for the past 18 years.

Amy Maynard Corporate Accountant- Has over 7 years of accounting experience, along with 3 years of hospitality management. As a Crown Accountant, Amy handles reconciliation, periodic reporting, and compiling financial statements. Maynard received an Associates of Science in Accounting at Ivy Tech College in Columbus, Indiana.

Valerie Waller Payroll Specialist- Has over 20 years of accounting experience. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business from Morris County College in New Jersey. She brings many years of accounting and payroll experience to the team. Valerie also, worked for a hotel chain of Holiday Inns doing assorted accounting as well as, front desk management.
